Are you looking for a rewarding experience building your union this summer? We have a paid organizing internship for JESPA members who want to spend their time off gaining knowledge and experience and working to engage members in our union .
Member Organizers will learn new skills:
- Recruit new leaders to join our organizing teams as Association reps and leaders
- Hold one-on-one conversations to identify our collective issues
- Activate members into leadership roles
- Learn about messaging to support campaigns
Interns will attend training and should be open to a challenging experience that might push them out of their comfort zones. Interns will learn and practice organizing skills in real life field organizing experiences. Interns will conduct building visits, phone banks, home visits. There will be daily reporting and debriefs. Days might feel long, but the experience will be rewarding!
