JESPA Ratifies Historic Agreement!
August 19, 2021
The members of JESPA have spoken, the votes have been tallied, and the Tentative Agreement reached between the JESPA bargaining team and the district has passed with an overwhelming 97% voting in favor of the agreement. A record number of members turned out to make their voices heard and vote!
Now the ratified agreement must be presented to and approved by the Jeffco Board of Education at their next regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, September 2nd at 6pm.
There is much to celebrate this year as JESPA welcomes a new school year with no employee making under $15/hour, preschool workers enjoying union protection under the contract, and increased access to information about our rights as workers.
We need to show up and attend this meeting wearing our red shirts in support of this historic agreement, workers rights, and the importance of a strong public education system for our students!
Watch the new 3 minute JESPA video and learn more about JESPA!
If you are not a member of JESPA join NOW!
If you are already a member, good for you being a part of the only group in Jeffco dedicated to ensuring rights for Education Support Professionals! Take a moment to tell a co-worker why you joined and ask them to join!
Welcome Back to School everyone! We will make the best of whatever challenges come our way. See you at the Board of Education Meeting on September 2nd .
With respect and in solidarity-
