Join us for our annual membership meeting and bargaining kick-off happening Saturday, February 11th at 9am-11am.
We’ll be discussing our collective bargaining priorities and strategy as we prepare for the upcoming bargaining season. Members are currently filling out the second of two surveys and data from the surveys will be shared at the meeting for further discussion.
So far JESPA members report that understaffing, respect, job security, pay, and healthcare are among their top issues. What does this mean for us? Make sure your voice is heard in discussions with your coworkers and help do the work that makes us successful! No bargaining effort is won at the bargaining table. We only win better pay, benefits, and working conditions when we work together and everyone helps!
Register for the meeting here!
Also on the agenda is general union business and a bylaws update. With the intention of having a more streamlined, and accessible election process, our JESPA Executive Board approved a motion to unify JESPA’s elections across all locals to occur during the two weeks leading up to spring break annually. JESPA Executive Board recommends amendments to all local bylaws in order to carry out the approved motion.
